Well, the last few months have sucked the creativity right out of me. We haven't had any major issues or anything. I think it's just those pesky winter blues again. Of course, they started early.
Anyway, in December, I was this > < close to closing my blog. I even announced it on Facebook. I actually felt better after making the decision.
My kids, however, convinced me to keep the blog. I'm not sure why, but I agreed to give it a little longer.
I'm not sure when I'll start posting again. But knowing that the blog is here and waiting patiently for me is good. Part-time job (grocery store...gotta get back into the work force somehow), full-time college (again), homeschooling my kids and managing my house are really going to limit my time, but I hope to find some extra time for projects and posts somewhere along the way.
A homeschooing mother of two teens. I'm crafty and cheap (which means I find less expensive ways of doing things if I can).

Where Have I Been?
I admit that my posts have become very infrequent. Part of it was plain old winter depression. It seemed bad for me this year; however, now that the sun is starting to shine and it's staying daylight later in the day, I'm starting to improve. I have some ambition, and some inspiration, finally.
Another part of it was that I have been reading. A lot. I've read more in the past 3 1/2 months than I did in the first 6-8 months of last year. College really takes away from your pleasure reading and I guess I've been catching up.
I've been working on making some changes to my house. See It All Started with a Coat, and you'll see where this snowball effect started. Unfortunately, I'm still trying to convince myself to finish painting the trim in the living room and I refuse to start painting the kitchen walls until I finish painting the living room. I'd rather paint walls than trim any day.
I can safely assume at this point that by the time all is said and done, all of the rooms in this house will get a coat (or a fresh coat) of paint. Clone of Bob found a "mis-tint" paint at Lowe's a couple of weeks ago and he's patiently waiting for me to do his room as well. Boo picked out her color, but I've been putting it off since the living room, kitchen and Clone of Bob's room are rooms that I already have paint for. I hope to have the whole house finished by the fall.
Anyway, I've been stewing over things I want to do with the living room and hope to get some posts up about that within the next couple of weeks. First, I have a bunch of small repair/alteration sewing projects that I need to get done.

About Me and My Blog
I've been married for 18 years and am homeschooling two children. We'll call the hubby Bob and the children Clone of Bob and Boo (no, those aren't their real names).
Clone of Bob is 13 years old, currently, and he's in 8th grade... I'm not looking forward to starting high school with him next school year.
Boo is almost 12 years old and in 6th grade, technically, but I know she's ahead of her grade in some things.
I am going into my 4th of 6 semesters in college, working towards my degree in Medical Office Administration. I do hope to be able to work from home as a coding specialist or maybe as a medical transcriptionist.
I love to crochet, and do that while watching TV. I also love to read, although I haven't been doing as much of that since starting college. I read for enjoyment, mostly fiction... it's my getaway.
I'm sure there's more about me I could add, but you'll have plenty of time to get to know me, later.
My friend Stacy from ( http://stacysewsandschools.wordpress.com/ ) Stacy Sews and Schools convinced me that I needed to do this, so if I bore you to death on occasion, you can blame her :)
I will talk about many things... school, homeschooling, housekeeping, crafts, crocheting, and maybe even knitting (even if it's just to vent my frustrations as I teach myself how to knit). I might also include couponing from time to time.
