I made a huge mistake. I was offered a job at the college campus tutoring other students. "Oh, extra money?!" I said... "A few hours a week?!" I said.... What was I thinking? I am loving the work, but haven't got a lot of free time anymore.
I am working 12 hours a week, but gone from home about 20 hours a week (I have an hour break every day since the slot hasn't been filled yet). I am taking 5 classes and one of them has been giving us all trouble (the program that we are using hasn't been working right for anyone), I am homeschooling my kids, we have 4 dogs, 2 cats, and a fish tank, not to mention a house that, I swear, messes itself up overnight. Needless to say, I'm pulling my hair out.
I AM "perpetually busy" it seems, lol!
I have ideas floating around in my head for blog posts, honest. I just haven't had TIME to do anything about it. As it is, I'm sitting here writing this post and telling myself to hurry up. Clone of Bob just used the last of the milk, and I'm out of dryer sheets so I can't do my laundry yet.
I will write posts in December...until then, I think I'll put myself on hiatus. See you all in December, unless some huge burst of inspiration hits me and I HAVE to put it out there immediately.
A homeschooing mother of two teens. I'm crafty and cheap (which means I find less expensive ways of doing things if I can).

Did you know Kool-Aid will go bad?
It never occurred to me that Kool-Aid would go bad. I mean, it's sugar, water, and flavoring... anyway, the kids like to mix flavors. Strawberry with lemonade, blue-raspberry with fruit punch, etc. They must not have liked the last mixture they made. I can't even tell you what it was because it was in the fridge for so long. They wouldn't drink it, but I kept leaving it in there trying to convey the message to drink it before they made more.
It sat in there so long that I finally decided to drink it myself, and I don't like Kool-Aid much because it gives me heartburn. Let me tell you, it was nasty! When I actually looked inside the pitcher, there was mold growing on the bottom, underneath the liquid!
Lesson learned, don't leave it in the fridge for weeks, it's better to just toss it if they don't drink it.
Our dog Milo won't come in the living-room because he doesn't like to walk on the new laminate flooring. He was doing fine for almost two months after we put it down. Then he started slipping and sliding on it for no apparent reason. My in-laws said that he might be having problems with his hips since he is a large-breed dog (black lab/rottweiler). We changed his food to one that contains glucosamine and he's making progress!
It started with him just putting his front paws on the floor, but leaving his back paws on more familiar flooring... he'll now come onto the new floor with all four paws, but JUST onto the floor, lol! He leaves himself so he can quickly scoot off of it if he wants too. He's so silly!
I have a lot of tutorials and stuff planned to do, but time hasn't been on my side. I started my fifth class of the semester on Friday, so my class work load is heavier. (I still don't quite understand why that class started three weeks after the other four.)
Stay tuned, I hope to get something interesting up this week, at least one thing, darn it, lol!

About Me and My Blog
I've been married for 18 years and am homeschooling two children. We'll call the hubby Bob and the children Clone of Bob and Boo (no, those aren't their real names).
Clone of Bob is 13 years old, currently, and he's in 8th grade... I'm not looking forward to starting high school with him next school year.
Boo is almost 12 years old and in 6th grade, technically, but I know she's ahead of her grade in some things.
I am going into my 4th of 6 semesters in college, working towards my degree in Medical Office Administration. I do hope to be able to work from home as a coding specialist or maybe as a medical transcriptionist.
I love to crochet, and do that while watching TV. I also love to read, although I haven't been doing as much of that since starting college. I read for enjoyment, mostly fiction... it's my getaway.
I'm sure there's more about me I could add, but you'll have plenty of time to get to know me, later.
My friend Stacy from ( http://stacysewsandschools.wordpress.com/ ) Stacy Sews and Schools convinced me that I needed to do this, so if I bore you to death on occasion, you can blame her :)
I will talk about many things... school, homeschooling, housekeeping, crafts, crocheting, and maybe even knitting (even if it's just to vent my frustrations as I teach myself how to knit). I might also include couponing from time to time.
