Fly on the Wall- September 2015

Welcome to a Fly on the Wall group post. Today 16 bloggers are inviting you to catch a glimpse of what you’d see if you were a fly on the wall in our homes. Come on in and buzz around my house.

Buzz around, see what you think, then click on these links for a peek into some other homes:

I've decided to go back to college. Yes, I just graduated last year with my associates degree in medical office administration. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get a job. My area just isn't doing a lot of hiring in the medical field unless you're a nurse or a medical assistant. Not to mention that I homeschool, so I need to work from home, or just part-time. It makes finding a job that fits those requirements difficult no matter where you are.

I figured out that I was only 11 classes shy of my office administration degree. If I finish that, I can work in almost ANY office, not just medical. Plus, I still have 3 years of homeschooling left, so I have to kill some time before I can go work full-time somewhere anyway.

I was so burned out when I graduated. I thought I'd never go back to school! Here I am going back to school. At least I'm excited and not dreading it.

Who are you when you're hungry? Clone of Bob claims he chose this Snickers because it was the funniest. I don't think he thought it was all that funny when I posted it to Facebook!

He actually needs one that reads "King Kong". Boo said that she needed one that said "Hangry".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Clone of Bob is doing really well with his driving. My mom and brother got a new (2016) car and took the kids on a trip over Labor Day weekend. They traveled about 4 hours away to my uncle's house. Anyway, he must be doing good since they let him drive that brand new car about 5 hours total: 2 hours up and 3 hours home.
Bob wasn't crazy about the idea of Clone of Bob driving a car that new, but he's never ridden with his son in the car. He's left all of the training to me, which is fine, but he doesn't know how good the kid is doing.
Boo will get to start drivers' ed in the spring, after she turns 15 years old. I hope that by then Clone of Bob will have most of his required hours in so that they aren't fighting over who is going to drive. That's what stinks about having your kids so close in age.
  2. You are a brave woman for teaching your kids to drive. I NEVER wanted to do that---I always asked Hubs to do it, hahaha!
    1. I didn't want to do it either and I swore DH was going to do it, but he won. I still don't know how that happened.
  4. Drama Mama is a pretty great candy bar name :) It absolutely would eat the "Hangry"one too.
    Congratulations on continuing with more school. I know it looks like a long road ahead (especially since you just graduated), but just remember. NO ONE can ever take away your education.
    Two young drivers for you within the year? Hang in there!! Pretty soon, you'll be able to send them grocery shopping for you ;)
    1. The kids are only 19 months apart and COB started after he turned 16, not 15. So, yeah, it'll be interesting around here for a while.
  5. Good for you going back! Going back to school was an easy decision for me, but I really should have thought my degree through a bit. I got my Associate's in Veterinary Technology... I should have been an English major.
    I can't stand it when other people drive, so driver's ed will be the responsibility of The Big Guy. Besides, he's patient while I'm... NOT.
    1. I should have thought the first degree through more carefully and done more research on the field itself for my area (no jobs, really). And I really should have thought about whether or not I would have enjoyed it (I realized it's repetitive, both coding and transcription).
  6. I love Drama Mama. My sister calls me the drama llama, which is about as close as i'll get to something as cute as drama mama, so I'll take what I can get. I had to help my two younger sisters with their driving practice before they got their licenses, and I have since then decided someone else can teach my daughter to drive, I just don't have the nerves necessary.
    1. I'm a TERRIBLE passenger. I'm very nervous and I can't watch when the hubby drives. I just have to remember that he's never had an accident where he was at fault. As for teaching, that I why I wanted him to do it. I then realized that he is a worse passenger than I am.
